Budapest - a cold gem in the winter

The capital of Hungary, Budapest is a gorgeous city, that has so much to offer, but bare in mind that the winter temperatures are not for the faint of heart!

If you see one thing in the City, go see the Buda Castle. The former Royal Palace, now house the Budapest History Museum and the Hungarian National Gallery. If you are lucky could also see the changing of the guard which is an interesting sight to behold!

Fisherman’s Bastion

If you are looking for one of the best views in the city - go to the Fisherman’s Bastion. The seven tours in the castle provide an awe inspiring look over the city. Legend has it that bastion was protected by the fishermans’ guild from which the structure has its name.

Is it worth it?

Most definitely yes! The cheap accommodations, combined with the excellent food and the beauty of the city, make Budapest a worthwhile visit!
